We are
both from the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Jim Graduated from Dobbins
Vocational Tech School and Pat from Germantown High.
We married in 1964 right after Jim was discharged from the Army, where he served
with the Military Police.
When
our first of 3 sons was born Jim, Sam & Steve, we moved to Chalfont where we
remained for 31 years and raised our boys.
Jim was always very active and enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and coaching and
helping our boys with
their baseball, football & soccer teams as they were growing up (Pat followed along to help wherever she could).
We also
traveled along the East coast in our camper with our boys & saw & did many
exciting things.
Jim is a prolific reader & has a huge library of theology & classic books.
We have been very active in our church as a family though out the year & still remain active at 82 and 80 yrs old.
We
attend Immanuel Leidy’s church in Souderton where we worship and fellowship.
Jim retired from Honeywell after 35 years where he worked as Mechanical Engineer
&
Pat
retired form Prudential at the same time in 1999 after we had moved to Haycock
Township from Chalfont.
After 15 years in Haycock, we decide the outdoor upkeep was getting to be too
much for our
75 year old bodies & we moved to Village at Dorchester in 2014.
We continued our traveling habits of cruises & Motocoach tours for the next 5 years.
Unfortunately Jim fell and broke his hip in 2019 so we have decided to limit our traveling to trips that don't require major walking.
Besides traveling when we moved to Dorchester, to keep ourselves busy,
Pat started piano lessons at age 77 and Jim most recently purchased and started playing Tenor Saxophone,
along
with his guitar he has had for many years.
We are currently waiting for the Covid 19 pandemic to clear up so we can take
some nice relaxing cruises and enjoy a normal vacation.
