Welcome to our new neighbor,
Was born in Dusseldorf/RHLD-Germany and baptized with Rhine River water.
When my future husband (Helmut)
and I met, two adventurers came together.
We left Germany, went to Canada and got married.
A year or so later, after not liking Canada much, we
moved to Hatboro, PA.
After about 4 years, we quit our jobs, packed our Mercedes 220S
and travelled through the USA, Mexico and Central America.
Panama was engaged in a bloody revolt, so we returned to
Guatemala, caught a German freighter and sailed the
Atlantic for 4 weeks with stops and exploration of
Haiti and the Dominican Republic.Through Amsterdam, we went to Germany.
Picked up a New Mercedes at the factory and explored
Switzerland and Italy.
Then we were literally sick of vagabonding and 7 months after
leaving, we returned to the USA and continued to work.
We continued to travel and saw much of the world. Helmut died in 2007.
Our son, Kirk is an airline pilot with United Airlines.
I have 3 grandsons and the entire family continues to travel and that also includes this old lady.
I very much like living at
Dorchester Village, but it is too Quiet!
So I’m not much at home. Driving to Florida at the end of the month. Maybe there’s life there.
